The Acoustic Sisterhood of Unbound Chords
An acoustic odyssey through the world of gods

"The Acoustic Sisterhood of Unbound Chords" — our new EP with that "tiny" little title. To be honest, these songs were happy accidents. They were born in rehearsals and during soundchecks for other tracks while we were working on our pre-productions. Andy brought the chords, Matti added his touch, and Jasmin’s vocals ultimately defined the sound.

This EP focuses on five goddesses and demigoddess from the Chronicles of Nyrassar. Out of a total of twelve deities, we chose the most significant five and breathed musical life into their essence. The result is our first acoustic record in more than 26 years. Since the music is a bit more experimental, we decided to release it separately as a special EP. So, dive with us into this world of fantasy and myth. Enjoy the journey!
Following the epic intro, the EP kicks off with "Silent Blade" and we need to clarify one thing right away: this song is about Eledis, and Eledis is "only" a demigoddess. She is a warrior, a storm in the heat of battle, often called "The Silent One." Having pledged her soul to the Light, she hunts the shadows wherever they emerge - frequently fighting alongside Tharok the Unyielding. Immerse yourself in her story, her myth...

"Weaver of Fate" tells the story of Ailinwë, the goddess who weaves the threads of time into ever-changing patterns, her steady hand guiding the tapestry of eternity. She is often the first to sense a stirring of darkness in the world, or an evil power attempting to break the bonds of destiny. Ailinwë is reserved, often remaining unseen in the background, yet her power is vast. She holds the balance to give or take life when necessity calls or her judgment is sought. And though she may go unnoticed, her love remains the very foundation of the world.

"Whisperer of Art" tells the story of Ithiriel, a demigoddess, and her song is that of the first creation, her spirit a wellspring of infinite inspiration. In her eyes burns the light of Luminar—a radiance that dispels every shadow, embodying both hope and longing. And though the beings of Nyrassar rarely encounter her, they feel her presence in their dreams, their desires, and in the yearning of the night."

"Breath of Grace" is dedicated to Nalira, perhaps the most pivotal demigoddess of the Chronicles. Radiating the purity of Luminar, she loved every form of life. Near her, suffering faded and grief melted away like mist at sunrise. To be in her presence was to find deep peace, a soul-soothing tranquility. Nalira was the one who wed an Elf and the only god to join the Free Peoples in the Second Great Battle against the world's Dark Enemy. Rather than returning to the divine realms after the victory, she stayed in Nyrassar, finding a new home in Aelin Thill, amidst the immortal woods of Dúrial.

The song "Windborn" tells the story of Sylwen, who is also a demi-goddess. She is the roaring of the storms, the whisper of the wind as it brushes through the treetops. Her words carried across the peaks of the world, out to sea, and far into the void.
Deeply connected to nature, she listens to the voices of the trees and has an open ear for all concerns. She is one of those deities who are rarely seen, for she seldom walks among the peoples of Nyrassar.
The EP concludes with the song "Head or Heart", a track that has nothing to do with gods—unless you choose to see love as something divine. It earned its place on this EP as an unplugged version, which makes it a perfect fit for the rest of the record.
The song explores something that most of you likely know all too well: the inner struggle between what the head says and what the heart feels. Often, these are two distinct things—two different voices speaking to you. Which one should you listen to? The head, which is rational, experienced, and usually wise? Or the heart, which reacts with emotion and follows its own needs? It is a battle with an uncertain outcome, and that is exactly what this final song is about.

We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for your interest in our music and our stories. Since you’ve read this far, we’ll let you in on a secret: we can reveal that another EP will be released immediately following this one.
Musically, it will be significantly heavier—perhaps even exceptionally so. It serves as a bridge to the next album. This upcoming EP will be a concept record, telling the story of the creation of the sun and the moon. The first single is coming very soon…
